Thanks for your interest in booking us! We're looking forward to joining you. Here's the rundown on what we're looking for when we are working at your event.
Our basic requirements are transportation, housing, meals and hourly class fees (with minimums). Below we have listed the answers to most questions that come up when setting up a gig. If something doesn't line up (flights on our preferred airline aren't available, housing is a special case, your budget and what's listed below don't match well) please contact us, and we can almost certainly work out a mutually beneficial arrangement.

- Promotional Material: Please feel free to use any promotional material from this website (videos, pictures, bio). If you need more/different material that you see on this site, we need to approve it before it's published.
- Partners: We prefer to teach together. We are happy to work with other people as well, but this needs to be worked out and approved by us in advance.
- Transportation: Unless otherwise noted, our flights should be booked to/from SeaTac Airport (SEA) on a United or other Star Alliance airline flight. We must approve any itinerary before it is booked. In the event that we am required to purchase our own tickets, we must be reimbursed before the event. If there are several bookings for us in your area, we can often work out a split in travel expenses between promoters. We have Known Traveler Numbers and Frequent Flyer codes that we'd like to use, so please communicate the flight details to us as soon as possible.
- Meals: Meals should be provided throughout event, as well as for any days before or after that we need to be in attendance (e.g. if we must arrive or leave on specific days). If there's time for us to grab food, a per diem food budget is also acceptable. We have no dietary restrictions, other than Ben is not a fan of hot spicy things.
- Lodging: We need a private room with a door that closes. We are happy to share a room with each other, and will likely be fine with other roommate set ups, but we must approve of the set up before the event.
- Cancellation: We book out our calendar months in advance. Therefore, once we have agreed upon a date to bring us out we immediately begin turning down other requests for our time. Because of the risk we take on this, we must ask for a cancellation fee of $100 per day that we reserved from our calendar. If you have questions about this policy, or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to emergency or ethical conflicts with the event. Questions about this? Pease ask! - Teaching Rates:
- Group Classes: $100/hr with a partner (not including partner's rate) or $125/hr alone.
- Level Auditions: $50/hr.
- Private Lessons: $70/hr for 1-2 people with 1 of us. $120/hr for 1-2 people with both of us. For each additional person, add $15.
- Performing: We will participate in introductory instructor jams for free. We will happily work with you on other performance things as well, but we need to agree to terms before anything is promoted.
- Judging: We will each judge 2 segments of a contest for free, and after that it's $15/contest segment.
- DJing: $25/hour. Don't forget to let us know if you'd like one or both of us to DJ so we can make sure to have the appropriate equipment.
- Video Reviews: No charge for end of class reviews. If there will be a review DVD or similar sold at the end of the event, we charge a flat $50 fee per instructor, and require a copy of the product for ourselves.
- Minimums: Unless otherwise discussed, we have a 6 hour per teacher per weekend event minimum.
- Payment: Our preference is to be paid in USD cash, though we can be flexible on that. If there is a currency exchange fee, the promoter is responsible.
